How to become a foster parent
by PD
Local children and youth of all ages in Sonoma County need safe, loving foster homes. Both couples and single people may become foster parents. Renters are also welcome and two children often may share a bedroom.
A monthly stipend is paid for each child, and medical and dental coverage are provided. Training and support are also provided.
Foster care information meetings are held monthly at Sonoma County Family, Youth and Children’s Services. If you or someone you know is considering becoming a foster parent, call Rita Jacobs, foster home recruiter, at 565-4274.

I’m now 19 and experiencing being a dad. I must say although it feels good it’s still hard. I knew it wouldn’t be easy but to be honest, the hard part is having to balance time. My daughter is great and makes managing her never dreadful. -Teen dad
