Buddy the Beagle goes home
by good.deeds
Angie Bonnert of the Sonoma Humane Society tells Good Deeds that Buddy, the last of 13 beagles rescued in April from a backyard puppy mill in Tehama County, has been adopted.
After undergoing treatment for heartworm at the society’s veterinary hospital for over eight weeks, Buddy finally went home with a couple from Rohnert Park.
Have a happy life, Buddy!

Not only has Buddy been adopted at the Humane Society of Sonoma County recently, but many other wonderful, delightful, dogs and cats, not to mention the many Kittens that have found the Most Loving Homes. A huge Thank You to the Sweet Adopties and their families.

Absolutely Terry! The people at the Humane Society (and other agencies) are utterly terrific. The staff and volunteers who cared for Buddy and all of the other animals at the Sonoma County Humane Society deserve far more credit than they get on the PD blog! Thanks Again Gabe, Angie and everyone else at the SPCA!
I’m happy to report that Buddy is doing great, he is learning everything from what toys are to how to sneak scraps of food from the table (in addition to taking over my spot on the sofa!).

It is heart warming to see the out pouring of love and care from our community for these rescued ” lucky 13 Beagles. ” Thanks to The Press Democrat for letting the public know about these and many other animals that need forever homes.

It’s great to hear of another success story from the Humane Society – I know they’ve been deluged with pets being surrendered by people hit by economic hard times and it’s great that they can still extend themselves to rescue puppies like Buddy.

My husband and I are the ones who adopted Buddy 2 weeks ago and I can assure you that he is living a very happy life! He has learned how to play fetch and loves watching TV on our couch. I am so thrilled that he got his own blog
