Alex’s Lemonade Stand on July 31 at R.L. Stevens Elementary School

by good.deeds

alexlemon1At the age of 4, Alexandra “Alex” Scott told her parents that she wanted to have a summer lemonade stand in front of her Pennsylvania home to raise money to help find a cure for all children with cancer.
Since her death from cancer in 2006, the Foundation bearing her name has evolved into a national fund-raising movement, complete with thousands of volunteers across the country carrying on her legacy of hope.
alexlemon3This summer the employees of Santa Rosa Extended Child Care and volunteers will host an Alex’s Lemonade Stand from noon to 4 p.m. on July 31 at R.L. Stevens Elementary School at the corner of Stony Point Road and Giffen Avenue.
Try and swing by for a good cause.
Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation has raised more than $25 million toward fulfilling Alex’s dream of finding a cure, funding over 100 research projects nationally. Learn more about the non-profit at www.alexslemonade.org.

It would be nice to remember Kory Murley as well seeing as how he attended R.L. and went to the daycare as well, but regardless I will definitely be stopping by my old stomping grounds for a good cause!!
