Hotel helps Palm Drive patients

Neil Todhunter, Interim CEO, Palm Drive Hospital, reports:
“In mid-October, Palm Drive Hospital admitted an out-of-town patient for surgery. The procedure was complicated, and required the patient to be hospitalized for several days. Her family wanted to travel here to be with her, but their finances were tight and they couldn’t afford a hotel room.
We talked to Shiva Emdadian, the manager at Fairfield Inn & Suites in Sebastopol, and she did something extraordinary: She decided to provide accommodations for our patient’s family at no charge. This locally owned hotel now gives us five rooms each month at no charge, to help our patients and Palm Drive Hospital.”

This is only one more example why we should commit to small businesses and health care facilities. Non-profit organizations receive an average 250% more support from smaller business owners than they do from large businesses.
I salute Palm Drive Hospital, Fairfield Inn & Suites, and the community of Sebastopol for its commitment to taking care of their own. When I have family and friends coming to this area, I can assure you that they will be staying at Fairfied.
