Sonoma County’s Court Appointed Special Advocate program is seeking volunteers to assist children who have been removed from their homes because of abuse, neglect or abandonment.

The agency provides support and an official voice for these children in the juvenile court system. Court officials have identified 30 additional youth who need advocates.

CASA’s four-day training  begins April 18 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and continues April 23-25 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The class is held at CASA’s office at the Los Guilicos complex in Santa Rosa. For information and to sign, contact Millie Gilson at 565-6375.
