A team of 21 Redwood Credit Union employees and family members, along with approximately 60 other community volunteers recently participated in the 5th Annual Laguna de Santa Rosa Re-Leaf Day on Saturday, April 5.

More than 600 trees and shrubs were planted at the event in an effort to help restore the degraded habitat area along Irwin Creek near the Laguna.

“Redwood Credit Union is committed to sustainability and to our local communities—the Re-Leaf Day was a great way for us to support both,” said Stephen Hazard, RCU’s Sebastopol Branch Manager, who led RCU’s volunteer efforts for the event.
