The Laguna de Santa Rosa Foundation is looking for volunteers to join its Laguna Education Team. The education team brings programming to more than 1,500 elementary school students every year. Volunteers must go through a 10-week training course, where they learn about the Laguna during in-class presentations, hands-on activities and field trips that foster Laguna sense of place. Trainees also learn how to teach all the Learning Laguna activities and develop practical skills for working with students both in the classroom and in the field. Training runs March 13-15, and orientation is scheduled for February. For more information, contact Christine Fontaine, director of education programs, at 707-527-9277, ext. 102 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
